I woke up to my sister shaking me. I groaned and slowly opened my eyes. It was still dark and she was still in her pyjamas. I looked over at my clock. It's 3:30 in the morning!? "What the f**k!?" I yelled out loud. I then covered my mouth knowing my sister was with me. "I've gotten used to it" she told me in almost a whisper. "How?" I ask her in a whisper too. She points to my desk in the corner of my room. "I hear you yelling swear words all the time. Plus I watch a bunch of YouTubers who swear all the time" she answers looking back at me. "Mom and Dad would kill me for swearing in front of you! Or even swearing for a fact!" I said whisper yelling. Lucy's eyes started tearing up. I then realized who I mentioned and pulled her into a hug. She quietly cried in my chest. She whispered, "I miss mommy and daddy......". Tears start rolling down my cheeks. "I miss them too......" I said hugging her tighter. I never wanted to loss her. She was the only close family I have. If your wondering what happened to my parents, it was an awful situation.

~Flash Back~
"Mommy? Why does daddy have to leave?" I asked my mom. I was only six years old when this all happened. "Daddies a hero, (Y/N). He has to go fight for other people" she responded calmly. "Will he come back?" I ask her. "He always does, doesn't he?" She asked me. "Yeah.... He does....." I said trailing off. "Can you go grab Lucy? You two need to say bye to your daddy" mom asked. I nodded my head and ran to Lucy's room. "Lucy! Daddies leaving!" I shout out to her. I heard her get up and run to the door. She slowly opened it so she could poke her head out. "Password?" She asked in her cute three year old voice. "Lucy the princess" I told her. She then opened the door and came out. We walked down to were my parents were at the door. "Well, my princesses, I'll see you all next year, okay?" Dad asked us. We nodded our heads with smiles on our faces. He said goodbye to Lucy first, then mom, then he looked at me. I ran up to him and hugged him tightly. "Well I definitely see you again?" I ask him in he's shoulder. "Of course! Trust me, I'll see you somewhere and we'll be together again!" He said looking at me. My eyes started to tear up but I held them in. "You know, solider, even if us soldiers look strong and stay strong, it's okay to cry" he told me. I then let the tears flow knowing what he was trying to tell me. He then stepped back and out the door. I already felt far away from him. "I'll see you guys later! Sooner then you think!" He shouted back.
It was finally night and something hit me. "I never said I love you to him before he left......" I thought. It hurt knowing I forgot those three very important words.

A year has passed and the war that our father went to is over. I'm now seven and my sister is four but we still have fragile minds. There was a knock at the door and I ran to it. I was so excited to see my dad again. I opened the door to find my fathers friend how's in the army with him. I looked at him confused. My mom then ran to the door. "I-I'm so so so sorry......" He said looking at my mom. Tears were forming in his eyes. My mom covers her mouth and stepped back. She instantly started crying. "No........" I thought staring at my mom. Tears started forming in my eyes. "No...... No...... NO!!!!!" I screamed crying my eyes out. Lucy then walked into the hallway. My mom ran over to her and pulled her back into the kitchen. "Mommy....... Is daddy gone......." I ask still crying. She doesn't answer me. The other soldier said goodbye and left. That night during dinner and right before I went to bed, I did something that I have never done before. I prayed. I prayed that the rest of our family would be fine.

I was now in grade 8. My mom has been diagnosed with lung cancer. She's been to the hospital a few times but they told her to stay home for now on. I didn't know why they wouldn't let her stay in the hospital considering she's diagnosed with cancer. She decided to take it really easy though. She normally spends time with us and she apparently cries when ever me and Lucy are at school. She does have a nurse stay at the house with her though. Just in case anything happens. One day, our mom told us that we were going to skip school for a whole month just to be with her. I didn't question her. I didn't want to question her. Me and Lucy spent most of our time off, cuddled up to our mom and, watch movies. We laughed and cried but at least we were together. Then it happened. When it was our second week off out of the month, me and Lucy were hanging out in my room. All of the sudden, we hear our mom coughing. She was coughing really hard. The next thing I knew, me and Lucy were in the waiting room at the hospital. The doctor told us that she wanted to see us. Me and Lucy had our eyes filled with tears. The doctor said one at a time, so I let Lucy go first. Once Lucy walked out, I could tell she was crying. I walked in staying strong. I sat in the chair next to the bed. "(Y/N)" she said cuffing my right cheek in her hand. She sounded so weak. I tried my hardest not to let the tears flow. "You know, solider, even if us soldiers look strong and stay strong, it's okay to cry" she said looking at me. I then shook my head. I knew where this was going. "I'll see you guys later. Sooner then you think" she said, her voice as weak as ever. I closed my eyes and held her hand that was holding my cheek. Her hand started becoming weaker and weaker. I then heard the machine start slowing down. I opened my eyes to see my mom closing her's. I then let all the tears flow. I was pulled out by a doctor. Lucy and I then cried or eyes out.
"I never got to say I love you......" I thought as we cried more.
~End of Flash Back~

I looked down at Lucy. She looked up at me. Tear stains were stained down both her cheeks. "So, what did you wake me up for?" I asked. She then perked up. "I had a bad dream....." She said looking away. I then looked at her. "Well the, get in here!" I said patting on the bed. She then smiled and hopped into the bed.

~Skip to Morning~
I went downstairs and made some waffles for breakfast again. We sang the waffle song, ate the wafers and, then went to our rooms to get dressed. I wore a white shirt that said, "Don't read the next sentence. You little rebel, I like you". I put on my comfy pair of pants on that were black stretchy pants. I slipped on a white see through sweater so I could see my shirt but also have some flare to my outfit. I grabbed my pair of purple converse that I got for my birthday. I put my hair up in a high pony tail and went out of my room. "You could do better but okay" I hear Lucy say to me. I turn to her to see she's wearing a white shirt and bright blue shorts. She was also wearing grey slip ons and had her hair up in pigtails. "Well Miss.Fashionista, why don't we head out for school?" I ask her. She rolls her eyes and grabs her bag. I left my bag at school considering I didn't have much. We headed down to her bus stop. Once we got there, the bus just then came. She hopped into the bus and waved goodbye. I then headed for my bus stop. When I got there, I noticed the three girls. I waved to them. They waved back with smiles on there faces. "How are you doing?" I asked Broken. She shrugged and said, "Could be better but, I'm fine!". The rest of the time we talked about video games. "How did we start talking about this again?" Twizzles asked. "We started this conversation because of Broken's shirt! It's fudgen Five Nights At Freddy's 5!" FireBall yelled. Broken laughed. "Two things. One: you still haven't sworn and Two: I can't help it! I'm excited for the game to come out!" Broken tells FireBall. The bus then comes up to the stop and we all go in.

"Here comes my second day of YouTube school........" I thought as the bus started moving.
