"Finally." Romeo huffed as he saw his four best friends, walking into the shop. "Where have you been?"

Charlie held back a snort. "We've been right here this entire time."

"Yes, so I can see." the curly haired boy mocked in disbelief with a crazy look, adjusting his backpack. "It was via your request we meet on street three. I've been on street three for thirty minutes."

"Isle three." Issac giggled as he motioned to the snacks infront of them. "Not street."

Romeo gave Charlie a look. "You specifically said street. I have the message."

"Well let's see it." Charlie rose his eyebrows to him with a cheeky grin. "If you're right i'll buy you your favorite gummy bears."

Romeo had no idea Charlie already had bought some for him.

"Okay." Romeo popped his neck and shook his hands, making a large scene infornt of the trio of boys. "Let's see here-"

He pulled out his phone and found the group chat in no time. "Right here. From Charlie Spring...let's all meet on is-...."

"Oh?" Tao questioned with rose eyebrows. "Where's this street you heard about?"

"Did you slip some of Papa Vergez's special juice again?" Charlie laughed as Romeo rolled his eyes and pocketed his phone. "Good news for you...I already got you the last bag of bears."

Romeo gasped and yanked them from his hands. "You are the light of my dark little life, Charlie Spring."

"Tao Xu." Elle's voice rung as she came around the corner.

Romeo popped the bag and threw a few in his mouth. "Mama's mad."

"Did I overhear you giving Charlie relationship advice?" Elle stared at him with a gaping look.

"You?" Romeo giggled as he looked at Tao. "Elle, how long were you hiding back there? I even missed this."

"Okay, get off your high horse just because you have a girlfriend." Tao mocked Romeo as he held his hands up in surrender. He then switched to a scottish accent and rolled his tongue, looking at Elle. "Rude! I know loads about relationships. I watch a lot of romance movies, so..."

"Never kissed a girl." Romeo hummed under his breath as Tao reached over a yanked one of his curls. "Not the curls!"

"You kissed Imogen once!" Tao argued with him, holding up one finger.

"Once?" Romeo looked in disbelief. "You don't think I kiss her every single time Pemberly drops her off? I have been doing loads of kissing on my lady. Back off. Plus, Charlie doesn't need kissing advice. He learned from the best."

"Romeo!" Charlie groaned with a flushed face, knowing it was coming. "Will you ever let it go?"

"Not now that we're both in beautiful relationships." he shook his head, sending the Spring boy a wink. Elle walked off, Tao followed after her quickly. Romeo grabbed Imogens favorite bag of crisp's as well as a juice from behind him, nodding toward Charlie. "Pick what you want since you got me my bears."

"Oh, no. I'm okay." Charlie laughed it off quickly. "I had a pretty big breakfast."

"Well, save it for later." Romeo shrugged, throwing one gummy bear at Charlie's forehead as he caught it.

"It will melt." Charlie hurried to walk and encouraged him to follow. "Hurry or you won't be able to kiss Imogen before first bell!"

"Romeo!" Imogen cheered as she hoped off the table, sitting next to Ben. Romeo didn't like the fact that she'd had friends that were such horrible people, but he hadn't found the nerve to talk to her yet. "I've missed you!"

"Oh, i've missed you." he looped his arm around her waist and lifted her off the ground. When he set her back down, he placed a kiss on her forehead. "For you."

"For me?" she gasped and took the candy bar and juice. "You are really doing so good at this boyfriend thing. How much practice have you had?"

"Egh, I get around." he joked as she hit his arm, earning a laugh. "So...I have something waiting for you at home. After school."

"Another gift?" she gasped and cheered before him. "I also have something for you. But, you don't get it until Paris."

"Ugh, such a long wait." Romeo huffed, glancing back when the Truman bell rung loudly. "See you at last bell."

The two leaned in for a quick kiss before going their separate ways.

"Charlie, you're back?" Romeo jogged toward the boy on the Rugby field. "What a shocking sight."

Charlie rolled his eyes. "I...missed rugby."

"Oh, okay." Romeo had to laugh loudly at his words. "You know what I miss? My hospital trip because I ate lobster."

Charlie rolled his eyes and tried to shove Romeos arm away, but he continued on. "Also kinda miss my granny's funeral, leg day, bleeding profusely from my mouth during my first kiss."

"Okay, okay, you've made your point!" Charlie laughed as he ducked from out beneath his arm. "I joined so I could spend time with Nick more."

"What? Spending every day after school together isn't enough?" he joked, tossing the curls on his forehead out of the way.

"Mum banned me from seeing him until I finish my assignment." Charlie exhaled in disbelief, shaking his head. "Sacrifices had to be made."

"Spoken like a true romantic." Romeo shoved his head slightly as Coach Singh encouraged everyone to get ready. To sum it up...they hadn't been doing all that well. Nick wasn't passing the ball much, Charlie wasn't blocking, and Romeo crashed into Harry multiple times. It resulted to others yelling, Coach Singh yelling, and all around an entire shit show. Romeo never thought he'd say it...but he felt like he hated rugby.

"Hello hello!" Romeo announced when he entered the Spring house. He was carrying a back of J2O's, mango and apple. "I brought the keg!"

"Romeo!" Charlie scolded him with a laugh as he stood up. "My parents are right down the hallway."

"Oh, they love me." he side hugged him and set the drinks down. "I can't believe they were so on board with a sleep over with your boyfriend."

"I know, right?" Charlie laughed slightly. "I can't believe your Mum didn't offer to stay with Imogen coming over."

"Me and Imogen made up a big lie that she's waiting till marriage so they aren't too worried about us." Romeo made a prayer hand motion. "Thank you, Jesus."

"Oh, that's horrible!" Nick laughed as he slung an arm around him. "I got an entire ear full about some gift you're giving her later on?"

"Well, I was suppose to give it to her today but I don't think Spring Parents would approve." Romeo gave a frantic shrugged. "Guess it'll have to wait till tomorrow."

"You're not even gonna show us?" Tara gave him an offended look.

Romeo pulled a faked shocked look. "Oh, did you guys want to see?"

"Yes!" they all yelled on sync.

"Well, that's all you had to say." he shrugged, Nick let him go as he pulled his phone from his pocket and found his camera roll. "He's just a baby and has no health problems so should live for quit some time."

"You got her a dog?" Darcy gaped as they all gushed over the photo. "You actually got her a dog?"

"Romeo, since when were you this romantic?" Elle asked in disbelief as they all looked through the photos he'd taken. "He's so cute."

"He's got your curls." Tao agreed, shaking his head. "Did you make sure a dog isn't gonna trigger her?"

"I did not but my fingers are crossed it won't." he exhaled with an awkward smile, his eyes flashing toward the door when a knock echoed. "Is that the woman of the hour?"

Romeo ran around the corner before he yelped, nearly falling right over Tori as she held her drink and stared at him. Romeo clutched his heart. "Tori, you scared me."

"Do not wait till marriage in my room." her tone was serious and still, staring at him right in the eye as she sipped the bottom of her diet lemonade. Romeo nodded quickly as she walked away. He hurried to the door, pulling it open and was met with Imogens wide smile.

"Imogen!" Tara gushed.

"Come in, come in." Charlie insisted as Romeo granted her a kiss to the forehead. "Let me show you where to put your bags down."

"Yeah, Charlie will give you a tour." Nick insisted. Charlie's laughed echoed as he gave Imogen a round about of his downstairs.

"Don't worry." Romeo patted Nick on the shoulder as they watched the pair. "She's not gonna care. She's an ally!"

"She's an ally." Darcy agreed, the joke going deeper than the boys knew.

"Issac, come dance." Tara tried to get Issac up, dancing around. Romeo shimmed his shoulders toward Imogen, taking her hand and spinning her around. "Give me your book."

"Tara, I don't like dancing!" Issac laughed, Romeo grabbed Tara's hand and gave her and Imogen a spin on sync.

"Nick, come and dance!" Imogen insisted.

"Uh...no! No." he giggled, all the girls pointing at the back of Imogens head to try and get him to tell her. Romeo gave Nick a encouraging thumbs up, dipping toward the door when the pizza finally delivered.

Tao usually picked the movie, but for some reason he was resisting his gift. Romeo could tell something was up between him and Elle, their distance and lack of communication a clear sign. He was looking for a way to try and talk to one of them about it, but he didn't want to make it a huge deal or look as though he'd been picking sides. He looked over at Tao, Imogen curled up in his side. He glanced toward Elle, she caught him in the corner of her eye and looked his way.

"Charlie, can I use your bathroom?" Imogen sat up, Romeo removed his arm.

"Sure." Charlie met Romeo's eye, trying to tell him something without saying it. The curly haired boy gave him a strange look in response, revealing he didn't know what was trying to be said.

"I'll show you were it is." Nick stood up, Charlie gave Romeo another look to show that's what he was trying to say. Romeo flashed him a "cool guy, not obvious" nod of his head.

"You suck." Charlie shook his head.

"I don't know sign language, Charlie." Romeo argued with him.

"I know your looks." he looked over.

He rose his hands in surrender. "That's not on me."

Charlie waved him off, Romeo used this opportunity to try and figure out if talking to Elle or Tao was smarter. With the scolding look on Taos face, that was enough to reveal that he'd likely jump down Romeo's throat if he bothered to ask him anything right now. "Elle, can I borrow your charger?"

"Oh, yeah." she stood up and headed up the stairs, the pair passing Imogen and Nick in the process.

"Nothing to see here. Processed." Romeo gave the two of them a wink, flashing a pair of finger guns. Elle and Romeo walked into Charlie's room where he shut the door. "I don't need a charger."

"So what did you ask for?" she dropped the bag with a dumb look on her face.

"Why are you and Tao in a fight?" he leaned against the door with raised eyebrows. "Is it because of Imogen?"

Romeo knew Tao enough to know he struggled with change, especially within their friend group. He also knew he wouldn't say anything to him first, Elle would have gotten the heat. She exhaled and rubbed her forehead. "No....that's not it."

Romeo gave her a look, staring at her until Elle folded under the pressure. "I went to kiss him but he pulled away and it just got awkward."

"You went to kiss Tao?" Romeo's eyebrows shot up in shock, his jaw dropping slightly. "Damn...respect."

"Romeo." she huffed, sitting down on the bed. "I just...I really liked him."

"Aw, Elle." he walked over to sit next to her. "You know how Tao is. He's not good when things start to change...that's probably all it is. He'd be stupid not to like you."

Elle cracked a small grin in his direction. "Thanks, Romeo. But, I don't know...I feel like I should just move on."

Romeo exhaled. "Well, I don't think you should. Don't wait around, but don't give up entirely. He'll come around...boys just have to process things a little bit more. Sometimes it's hard for us to accept that really gorgeous and insanely talented girls, like you and Imogen, actually like us. It feels like it's too good to be true so we pull away before it gets too real. Give him a chance, r make sure he knows is it's real."

Elle wrapped her arms around him, resting her head on his shoulder as Romeo rubbed her back in comfort.
