"Hey, party people." Romeo smiled as he approached Elle and Tao.

"Romeo!" Elle gushed as she hugged him. "I feel like I haven't seen you in days."

"Two days to be exact." he let her go, raising an eyebrow at Tao. "You want one too?"

"No." he said quickly, sighing after a moment. "Okay, fine."

Romeo hugged him as Tao tightened his arms. "Aren't you suppose to be with the Rugby team?"

"Not until the end." he pulled back and got on the table with Elle, in red rather then blue like them. "What event did you sign up for?"

"Honestly, I haven't." Tao shook his head. "If Ms.Singh catches me, she's gonna force me to do the high jump or something. Ugh."

"Maybe it'll come easy with your legs." Romeo pointed out with a small head tilt.

"It absolutely will not." Elle laughed, wrapping her arms around him slightly.

"Truham students, Higgs students." Headmaster Barnes rung over the speakers. "Welcome to the day I know you've all been waiting for, Truham and Highs Sports Day. I'm sure that every single one of you is ready to give it your all, or at least I hope so because if you haven't signed up for an event, Ms.Singh-"

"Hi!" Issac gushed as he walked toward the trio.

"Hi!" Elle hugged him first.

"Looking real spiffy in your blue, sir Issac." Romeo gave a tilt of his imaginary hat.

"Stop." Issac gushed with a wave of his hand.

"Where's Charlie?" Elle looked around.

"Haven't seen him." Issac agreed with a small head shake.

"He's in a slump, had to bring him a weighted blanket last night." Romeo climbed up on the picnic table with Elle again, exhaling loudly.

"He's probably with the rugby team." Tao spoke bitterly.

"Because that would make a lot of sense." Elle motioned toward Romeo.

"I'll find him." Romeo stood up. "Shall I send him this way?"

"Yes."

"No."

Romeo cracked a grin at the trio. "Sounds good, family."

"Bye, Romeo!" Issac called out, getting a wave in return. Romeo walked through the crowds of blues and reds, avoiding running into as many shoulders as he could.

"Romeo!" it was a familiar, high-pitched voice that made him turn back. "Hi!"

He laughed as Imogen hopped his way, looking at her hair. "Imogen, you look so cute."

"Like it?" she wiggled her head so the two pulled up pieces moved back and forth slightly. "Excited about the game?"

"Egh, maybe." he nodded, motioning to his bruised eye from the fight with Harry. "Add to the bruises."

"It's fading, at least." she grabbed his chin to turn his head closer to the sun. "Did you sign up for any events?"

"No." his words made her almost laugh. "The game is enough, have to save my strength for the tackles."

"Smart idea." she nodded.

"You?" he hummed, she held up the pow-pows. "Oh, look at you. Show up the other cheerleaders?"

"Not nearly." Imogen laughed, glancing back at them. "They're very serious."

"Wanna escape?" Romeo suggested, pointing toward the side of the school. "I can introduce you to the spot I only know."

"A secret spot?" she gapped. "No one knows?"

"No one." he shook his head. "Come on."

Taking her hand, the two ran off. Imogen ditched her pompoms over her head, getting crazy looks from her friends, but ran with him regardless. Romeo made sure no one was following them, running to the side of the school and pulling open the door. "After you."

"Uh-oh." Imogen braced herself. "You take all the girls here?"

"Oh, yeah." he scoffed, taking her hand again and going down the small steps as they cracked under their feet. "Welcome home."

Imogen looked around the room. It was large, with bad lighting, kinda cold, and a little loud from a humming noise. "What is that?"

"So glad you asked." Romeo hummed as he opened up a breaker box. "Ever want school to get canceled?"

"No way!" Imogen laughed. "Are these the lights?"

"The lights, the speakers." he listed on, looking at all the wires. "In particularly moody mornings, a little cut to one of these babies and I get to go back home and sleep it off."

"You are evil." she gapped, yet smiled at the same time. "Think you can find Higgs secret door, too?"

"I'm sure I can make a one time exception." he gave a subtle wink. "For a very special customer."

Imogen faked a gasp. "Me?"

"But it's top secret, no one can know i'm playing favorite." Romeo shook his head. "They'll think i've gone soft."

She smiled, staring at him before the sound of Headmaster Barns voice called over the speakers. "Sounds like we've got to get back."

Romeo cleared his throat. "After you."

Imogen cheered for Romeo when the rugby game came round, in red as he was. Nick was so clearly distracted, Romeo kept trying to check on him but he insisted he'd been fine. That was, until he got him the ball, and he totally froze.

"Nick." Romeo called from the other side of the field. "Dehydration?"

Nick took his eyes off Charlie and walked toward Romeo, planting the ball in his hands. "Harry's an idiot, you're one of our best players."

He watched in confusion as Nick walked through the crowd of watchers, going right up to Charlie. A smile went across his face as he watched him take Charlie's hand, leading him to the school. Romeo completely forget the ball was in his hands until Coach Singh was whistling and yelling for him to go.

"Run, Romeo!" Imogen cheered for him when the blue team chased him. Romeo hurried, nearly falling over his feet, but sprinting across the field. Imogen yelled and cheered as he got closer, making a dive and scored the final point. She jumped up and down and cheered, as did everyone else.

Coach Singh blew the whistle. "Red team wins!"

Everyone cheered, Romeo smiled as he was pulled to his feet and congratulated by his friends and teammates. He looked for a familiar face, one he wanted to see most right now, but couldn't locate her. Only, a little tap on his shoulder told him exactly where she was. Romeo turned, smiling down at Imogen. "There you are."

She didn't seem happy, she stared at him with eyes that only resembled the saddest human. "What's the matter?"

"I.." she trialed off, her lips turned up. She wasn't sad, she was happy. An emotional sort of happy. "I think I wanna be your Juliet."

Romeo blinked down at her, the team and classmates all continued to yell and congratulate one another, paying the pair no mind. "Because i'm Romeo or is there a play i'm not sure about?"

Imogen gave a single laugh, pushing up on her tiptoes to cup his face and bring him into a kiss. Romeo kissed her back too fast, he almost scolded himself for it, but Imogen seemed happy he had. His hands planted high up on her waist and pulled her in.

And while there was a terribly large crowd around them, neither seem to care much as they kissed the other. Because, on that Sports Day, in the middle of the Rugby field, it was a comfort crowd.
