Alan, Edgar and I had situated ourselves in Sam's bedroom when we hear footsteps coming up the stairs.

We rush to the sides of the door; Edgar on one side, Alan and I on the other. The figure walks through the door and we jump at him with our weapons. Edgar and Alan held their black water guns against their cheek as I held my stake above my head. I stop when I see the familiar colourful clothing and blonde hair. I lower my stake and push my brothers' guns down. I grab all the boys' sleeves and pull them to the bed.

"Are you alright?" I hear Edgar whisper to Sam.

"Yeah, I nailed one of them with a bow and arrow," Sam whispers back with pride. We sit on the bed as Edgar boast about what the three of us did.

"We trashed to one that looks like Twisted Sister."

"Totally annihilated his night-crawling ass!" Alan continues in an excited tone. I quirk an eyebrow up at my two brothers.

"Well, Ziggy helped a little," Edgar quietly speaks with pleading eyes to me. I smile and chuckle a little at my brother's deflated pride.

The boys and I do a handshake but don't celebrate for too long as the mattress explodes and a high pitched yell emits from the small figure standing on the now broken bed.

We all scream and run away from Laddie who is now in vampire form. We fall against the floor, Sam and Edgar in the middle and Alan and I on the outsides. Laddie runs towards us but steps over Alan and into the corner of the room. "Holy shit! It's the attack of Eddie Munster!" Alan shouts to all of us as he scrambles up with the three of us following.

Alan and Edgar grab their water guns and pint it towards the younger child but stop when Star bursts through the closet door and stretched her hands out to prevent them from hurting the young vampire. "You stay away from him, just stay away from him! He's just a little boy," Star shouts with tears brimming her eyes as she pushes the water guns away from her and Laddie.

The four of us are pants as he stares at Star. Our gaze in sync as we glance down at Laddie who is thrashing around in Star's grip, trying to get to us.

The four of us stalk down the stairs and sit down at the top so we could just see the fight between David and Michael.

"You are a killer," David says tauntingly as he holds Michael by his shoulders and Michael traps David between himself and the wall by the blonde's jaw. David pushes Michael away from him and tackles him in mid-air."Stop fighting, Michael. Join us."

"Never!" Michael refuses.

"It's too late. My blood runs through your veins."

"So. Does. Mine!" Michael roars as he shoves David back into Grandpa's taxidermy studio. I run down the stairs with Edgar, Alan, Sam, Star and Laddie following after me to get a better look at what was happening.

What I see makes me shriek as tears fell from my eyes. The man I fell in love with so many years ago was struggling and screaming with two large, blood covered horns project from his chest. Star goes over to Michael as he pulls her in front of him, hiding his still horrifying monster features as I stumble towards David's dying form. He opens his blue eyes once more as a single tear cascades down his cheek. "I'm sorry, Ziggy. Although we didn't get to know each other, I knew you were the one. I... I love you.." David whispers as he reaches his cold palm up to my jaw.

"I love you too, David. Always have. Always will. We'll meet again soon, in another life." I whisper back as I hold his hand to is placed on the side of my head.

"I'll look forward to it," David smirks as he closes his eyes with a content sigh. His head drops to the side and his hand falls limp in my grasp, but I refuse to let it slump by his side. I clutch his hand closer to my face as salty droplets slip from my eyes and down my chin.

Alan approaches me and rubs my back. "Come on Zig, it's not over yet,"

I raise my head in confusion as throw my brother a raised eyebrow. "It's not?" Alan nods and explains that David wasn't the head vampire. I place David's pasty hand atop his chest and slowly walk backwards, away from my found friend.
