"How did it go, Hagrid?" You asked as he threw some stones on the water. You and your friends were by the lake with Hagrid. Hagrid was still in his formal attire but his pants were rolled up and his suit was unbuttoned, showing his bright yellow necktie.

"Hmm?" He asked as he threw another rock.

"The hearing," Hermione added.

Hagrid sighed. "Well, first off, the committee members took turns talking about why we were there," Hagrid explained as he threw another rock. "And then I stood up and did my piece. Said how Buckbeak was a good hippogriff, always cleaned his feathers. And then Lucius Malfoy got up. Well, you can imagine. He said Buckbeak was a deadly and dangerous creature who would kill you as soon as he looked at you. He also said that Buckbeak almost killed his son."

"Lucius is being overdramatic." You scoffed as you sat beside Harry.

"And then?" Hermione asked, wanting to hear more.

"And then he asked for the worst punishment, did old Lucius." Hagrid sighed and threw another rock. "'They're not sacking you!' No, I'm not sacked."

The four of you heard Hagrid's sobs and threw the last rock harder. "Buckbeak's been sentenced to death!"

You gasped in surprise as your fists clenched. Harry held your hand and his other arm wrapped on your shoulder. You looked up to Hagrid. "They can't do that! There must be some other way to save him. Stacey provoked Buckbeak, they should've at least do something about it."

"I tried but Lucius insisted." Hagrid sighed deeply. "I tried telling him it was just a scratch but he didn't listen."

You sighed deeply and looked at the lake as Hagrid continued throwing rocks.

The day had finally come where Buckbeak is going to be executed. You, Harry, Hermione, and Ron passed by a mysterious mam shining his huge weapon by the tree. Ron clung his hand to your arm in fear as the four of you passed through the Wooden Bridge.

"I can't believe they're going to kill Buckbeak." Hermione huffed in anger. "It's just too horrible."

You and your friends were heading to Hagrid's home until the four of you saw Stacey and her girl gang hiding and watching by the big stones. You saw Draco trying to get them away.

"It just got worse." Ron sighed when he saw the Slytherins.

"What did I tell you?" Stacey smirked as she and her friends looked at the poor creature by the big stones. "Lucius Malfoy said I can keep the hippogriff's head. I think I'll donate it to the Gryffindors' common room. This is going to be rich."

Draco rolled his eyes. "Doom, that's enough. Let's go."

Millicent caught a glimpse of you and your friends and smirked. "Look who's here."

Draco turned to see you and had a worried look. Stacey looked at us and laughed. "Ah, come to see the show?"

You clenched your jaw and pulled your wand out. "You! You foul, loathsome, evil little cockroach!" Stacey staggered backward until her back the stone behind and squeaked in fear when the tip of your wand touched her chin.

"(Y/n), no!" Draco exclaimed. "She's not worth it!"

"Oh, I think it's worth it." You glared intensely at Stacey. "You selfish little witch. You have caused enough troubles--"

"(Y/n)!" Draco stood beside you and held your arm, gesturing you to lower it down. "Please..."

As Stacey whimpered and shut her eyes close, you glanced at Draco's hand before lowering your wand down. You turned around and heard Pansy laughed mockingly. You nodded at Hermione and she nodded back. She stepped forward and threw a punch to Pansy's face. "Ow!" Pansy yelled in pain.

"Pansy! Are you okay?" Daphne asked. "Let's go!"

Pansy, Millicent, and Daphne ran away, leaving Stacey behind.

"Quick!" You heard Millicent exclaimed.

"Run!" Pansy yelled, almost tripping herself. Stacey glared at you before following her friends back to the palace. "Not a word to anyone, understood?" Stacey yelled to her friends.

"Okay!"

"I'm gonna get that jumped-up Mudblood!" Pansy hissed. "Mark my words."

Hermione looked at you, Ron, and Harry. "That felt good." She smiled.

"Not good, brilliant!" Ron praised while Harry smiled in awe.

Draco sighed heavily. "Look, I'm sorry. I tried to stop my father but I couldn't."

Ron nodded at him. "It wasn't your fault, mate. Hagrid doesn't blame you and neither do we."

"Come on," Harry said. "We should be at Hagrid's." The five of you walked down the stairs to get to Hagrid. You and Draco were walking side by side and you hugged yourself, looking away awkwardly. Draco would take glances at you before looking down, hesitating if he should talk to you about what happened back at the library.

You and your friends passed by Buckbeak who was just resting down the ground. The five of you arrived at Hagrid's home. Harry, Ron, and Hermione entered the house while you were about to approach the door until you were stopped by a voice.

"(Y/n)," Draco called out making you flinch in shock. You turned around to see him. "Look, about what happened back at the library..."

"It's fine, really."

"If you felt uncomfortable or... or awkward about it, I'm sorry. It's just that..."

"No, really." You looked at him. "It's really fine."

Draco stared at you. "I have a feeling there's a but..."

"Starks and Malfoys were known to be enemies."

You gulped and looked down at your hands. "But, um... I think I'd like us to be friends."

Draco sighed and looked down at the ground, slowly nodding. "Yeah, no, I get it. I-I'd be fine with that."

Harry peeked his head out. "Oi! Lovebirds!" He called out. You and Draco looked at Harry and Harry gestured the two of you to come inside. You and Draco glanced at each other before entering the house to see Ron finally got Scabbers back.

"Wanna keep a closer eye on your pets, Ron," Hagrid advised.

"I think that means you owe someone an apology." Hermione stood up and crossed her arms at Ron.

"Right." He looked sincere but he smirked. "Next time I see Crookshanks, I'll let him know." Then he smiled.

Hermione huffed. "I meant me!"

Suddenly, a rock was thrown from outside and hit the jar that was placed on the table. Ron and Hermione turned their heads, startled.

"Blimey!" Hagrid gasped.

"What was that?" Draco asked looking at the rock. He picked up the rock and observed it. Hermione stood beside him and looked at it as well.

Suddenly, another rock was thrown from outside and managed to hit the back of Harry's head. "Ow!" He winced in pain.

He turned and looked out the window. You stood beside him and saw Dumbledore and Cornelius Fudge coming with the same man you saw earlier who was sharpening his weapon: the executioner. "Hagrid," Harry called out.

Hagrid stood next to you and Harry and looked outside. "Oh, crikey." He sighed. "It's late. It's nearly dark. You shouldn't be here."

Hagrid grabbed a blanket as he looked at you and your four friends. "Someone sees you outside the castle this time of night, you'll be in trouble. Big trouble. Particularly you, Harry." Hagrid tossed the blanket to cover his pet who was resting by his chair and he pointed to the backdoor. "Quick. Before they see you!"

Hermione opened the backdoor and looked at the three old men first. You looked as well and waited for them to come inside so all of you could go out and hide.

Once they were inside, the five of you ran away quickly. You yelped when you slipped until Draco caught you in his arm. "Are you okay?" He whispered.

You looked up at him and nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks."

"Oi, stop flirting over there and get over here!" Hermione scolded as she hid behind the giant pumpkins with Harry and Ron. You and Draco glanced at each other before hiding with them. The five of you looked at the window as Fudge talked.

Suddenly, you and Hermione heard a branch snapped. You and Hermione looked behind to see who else was there.

"What?" Draco asked, tugging the sleeve of your green hoodie.

"I thought I saw someone..." You muttered causing Hermione to nod, agreeing with you. "Never mind."

"Let's go!" Ron whispered. You and your friends ran away together and walked up to stand by the big rocks where Stacey and her gang used to watch a minute ago.

You and your friends helplessly watched Dumbledore, Hagrid, Fudge, and the executioner exited the house. A huge tree was covering the scene but all of you assumed the worst. Hagrid, Dumbledore, and Fudge talked for a bit until all of you saw the executioner raising his weapon and presumably executed Buckbeak.

Crows started to fly everywhere. After that, you squeezed your eyes shut and looked away. You felt Draco's arm wrapped around your shoulders in comfort. Hermione quietly sobbed and wrapped her arms around Ron while Harry patted Hermione's back.

"Ow!" You quickly looked at Ron who was wincing in pain and looking at his finger. "Scabbers bit me. Scabbers!"

Scabbers started running away. Ron widened his eyes. "Scabbers!" He went after it while you, Hermione, Harry, and Draco looked at each other before chasing after Ron. "Ron!" Harry called out.

"Scabbers, come back." Ron pleaded.

"Wait!" You exclaimed as the four of you followed Ron. Ron finally caught his pet rat by the Whomping Willow. Draco pulled you back while Harry stopped Hermione. Ron sighed in relief. "Scabbers, you bit me!" He scolded the rat.

"Potter, you do realize what tree this is?" Draco questioned.

"That's not good." Harry breathed. "Ron, run!"

Ron looked up from his pet and widened his eyes when he saw a dog. "Bloody hell, run!"

The four of you turned around to see a black dog growling. "It's the Grim!" Ron exclaimed. The dog started running and the four of you ducked when it jumped over you. You watched as the dog ran after Ron and bit his leg, bringing him somewhere.

"AHH!" Ron screamed. "Help! No, Harry!" He cried out.

"Ron!" Harry chased after Ron with Draco while you and Hermione were behind. "Ron, wait!"

Harry and Draco jumped to get Ron's hand, reaching out for them. Harry didn't catch his hand but Draco did. Draco was dragged down as well with Ron and the dog.

"Ron!" Hermione yelled.

"Draco!" You shouted.

You crouched down to see what was down the hole while Hermione and Harry got up. Suddenly, a branch of the Whomping Willow pushed the two away from you. You looked back and saw Hermione and Harry landing on the ground with a harsh thud. You saw the same branch coming towards you.

Harry immediately sat up. "(Y/n), go!"

You hesitated but you quickly slid down the hole, avoiding the branch's hit. You landed on the dirt and winced in pain. "This is why I should exercise." You slowly sat up and dusted yourself off. "Oh, who am I kidding? What is exercise?"

You rested for a while and were about to stand up until you saw Harry sliding towards you. You acted fast and moved over so he wouldn't fall on you. You stood up and looked down at Harry. "Are you alright?"

Harry was about to get up but he heard a scream. You quickly moved again when you saw Hermione going down. She fell on top of Harry. "Oh, I'm sorry!"

"It's alright." Harry groaned. Hermione stood up and you helped Harry to stand.

"Where do you suppose this goes?" Hermione asked.

"I have a hunch." Harry breathed. "I just hope I'm wrong."
