The golden sun was beginning to rise above the horizon. Aleta and Raven were still unconscious when Bellamy found the pod. He opened the door and gazed inside, noticing the two people in space suits. He slowly took out his knife and contemplated on killing them, if they were even still alive. He decided against it and used the knife to cut out the radio instead. Bellamy quickly left the area and went to do what he felt needed to be done.

A little while later, Raven regained consciousness. She took off her gloves and then her helmet. When she did so, she noticed that her head was bleeding. Ignoring it, she turned to Aleta and began shaking her shoulder, trying to get her to wake up. When she didn't , Raven began to worry. "Leta? Leta, wake up. Aleta, wake up!" The girl shook her friend's shoulder more frantically and panic began to set in.

Suddenly the door to the pod opened again and Raven jumped slightly. Clarke's face popped up and she peered into the pod. "Oh, my God," Clarke whispered in shock. "Hi! I made it?" Raven asked to which Clarke nodded.

Aleta groaned as she began to wake up. The two girl's attention diverted to her and Raven took off both hers and Aleta's seatbelts. "Am I alive?" Aleta asked with another groan, her voice muffled by the helmet. Aleta began to fumble with her helmet and grumbled when she couldn't get it off. Raven sighed, relief filling her body and placed her hands on Aleta's, stopping her movements. "Yes, you're alive," she answered. Aleta groaned again and took off her gloves. Raven helped her take off her helmet and Aleta sighed as soon as it was off.

Clarke gasped quietly, shock filling her, "Aleta?" Aleta turned her head to the girl and smiled. "Hey. I thought you were dead," she said and Clarke smiled. The blonde helped the two girls out of the pod. As soon as Aleta's feet touched the ground, Clarke wrapped her into a hug. "I'm so glad you're here. I missed you so much," Clarke whispered as tears begin to form in her eyes.

Aleta hugged her tightly. "I missed you too. I'm glad you're not dead," she said back. Clarke pulled away and frowned, "Y-you're bleeding." Clarke's eyes held so much confusion as she stared at the blood trickling down Aleta's head. The color of it, wasn't right, for lack of better words. Maybe it was the lighting but it almost looked... it almost looked black. The blonde reached her hand up to touch the brunette's head. Aleta flinched, "I'm fine."

Aleta was thoughtful for a moment before she spoke again. "Please tell me that idiot Elijah hasn't accidentally killed himself and is still alive," she added and Clarke nodded with a forced smile, her eyes continuing to look at the brunette's head. The dark haired girl looked around the area. They were in a forrest and Aleta was amazed by the beauty of everything.

She took a few wobbly steps forward and looked up at the trees in awe. "It's so beautiful," she whispered to herself. She turned around in a circle and took a deep breath. It felt good to breathe the oxygen, real oxygen. "I dreamed it would smell like this," Raven said smiling. "Is this rain?" She then questioned, pointing at the sky.

Clarke nodded with a smile, "Welcome home." Aleta tilted her head back to feel the little droplets that fell from the sky while spreading her arms out at her sides. The cold rain felt so good against her hot skin and she laughed with joy. "Raven!" A voice yelled and Aleta turned her head in the direction it came from. A boy with long dark hair approached them. It was Finn Collins, Raven's boyfriend.

Aleta had met Finn on a few occasions and at first she didn't like the boy. She thought that he was a little shallow and annoying. But as she got to know him, she realized that he was perfect for Raven. He made her happy and that made Aleta give him another chance. Now, she was happy that her friend had him.

"Finn!" Raven yelled back happily. She ran over to him and began feeling his face and running her hand through his hair. Aleta smiled at the sight but her smile slowly began to fall as she continued to watch them. It made her think about Bellamy and herself. "I knew you couldn't be dead," Raven whispered. "You're bleeding," Finn pointed out.

"I don't care," she replied before pulling him closer to her and kissing him. Aleta's head was pounding and she flinched in pain. She began to tune out the conversation occurring between the other three as she felt herself growing lightheaded. Aleta reached a hand up to her head and slowly pulled it back. She examined the blood or what was supposed to be blood. Instead of seeing a thick red substance, she saw a thick black substance. She squeezed her eyes shut before opening again. When her vision cleared, the blood that had come from her head was still black. "What the hell?" She muttered.

A young Aleta sat crying on the floor of her living room, a large cut on her leg. Black liquid bled out of the wound profusely. Aleta didn't know what was happening or what to do. She kept calling out to her mom.

The memory came quickly and made her head spin. Aleta's body began tilting to the side and Clarke quickly caught her before she could fall.

"Whoa whoa whoa, you should sit down," she muttered and led Aleta to a rock. Finn walked over to where the girl sat and crouched in front of her. "Hey Aleta. Are you okay?" He questioned to which she nodded. "It's good to see you," Finn said after a quick moment. Aleta tried to smile, though it came out as a grimace, and she lifted her hand in a small wave. His smile fell slightly at the sight of her blood. "Aleta, your blood. Whaโ€” why is it?" He turned to look at Clarke and Raven who stared at Aleta in confusion. The blonde didn't have an answer. She had no idea what was going on.

The other three began talking again and moving back toward the pod. Aleta's eyes remained on the black liquid that coated her fingers. What the hell was this? Why was her blood black? Had it always been black? Did she know? What was that memory? Why didn't she remember it until now? So many questions ran through her head and it throbbed painfully. After a few minutes, Clarke returned to her friend. "Leti, come on, we have to go," she said helping the brunette up. "Go where?" Aleta mumbled tiredly. "To find your boyfriend," she answered.

Aleta released a small breath of air through her mouth. "Ex boyfriend," she muttered. Clarke looked at her in surprise before shaking her head. "Why do we need to find Bellamy?" Aleta asked as Clarke began helping her walk. "Because he took the radio," Clarke answered. "I can walk on my own," Aleta protested, slightly pushing Clarke away from her.

"Are you sure? You're bleeding pretty badly," Clarke said in concern, her eyes focusing on the black blood that was still falling from the open wound on her head. "I'm fine, William," Aleta answered and Clarke nodded with an eye roll, though the blonde had a small smile on her face at the nickname. The four began trudging through the woods in search for Bellamy. Clarke sped ahead of them with determination whereas Aleta was desperately trying not to fall.

"Hey! Where is it?" Clarke called as she spotted Bellamy, speeding up her stride to catch up to him. The others caught up to Clarke and Bellamy. Aleta groaned and leaned against the nearest tree. "I'm dying. I'm gonna die," she muttered to herself before pushing off of the tree and continuing to walk. The urge to vomit was strong and she swallowed down the bile that rose in her throat.

When she finally caught up to the group, Bellamy had Raven pinned to a tree with his hand around her throat and Raven held up a knife to his own throat. "Bellamy, stop!" Aleta yelled. The boy froze and turned to look at her in shock. "A-Aleta? What are you doing here?" He asked, his eyes wide and his confusion evident.

He let go of Raven and looked at Aleta. He took in her appearance and grew concerned when he saw that she wasย  bleeding. The concern and confusion only growing when he saw the color of the blood. Bellamy took a step toward her and she took a step back. Bellamy masked his hurt with a small glare. "Where's the radio, Bellamy?" Aleta asked him. He rolled his eyes and scoffed. "Jaha deserved to die. You all know that," he said instead of answering her question. He began to walk away from them when Raven spoke.

"Yeah, he's not my favorite person, either. But he isn't dead," she called. Bellamy turned to face her. "What?" He questioned in fear that only Aleta caught. His eyes travel up to meet Aleta's and she held his stare before looking away. "You're a lousy shot," Raven added. Clarke walked closer to Bellamy.

"Bellamy, don't you see what this means? You're not a murderer. You always did what you had to do to protect your sister. That's who you are. And you can do it again, by protecting 300 of your people. Where's the radio?" Clarke said. Bellamy looked down at Clarke, "It's too late."

Aleta's head began spinning and her vision blurred. His words echoing over and over again in her mind. The amount of blood that she was losing was more than she thought. It's too late. She suddenly fell forward and hit the ground, though she didn't fall into unconsciousness, much to her displeasure. Slipping into the darkness seemed a lot better to her than experiencing this pain. Clarke quickly turned and ran over to her friend's fallen form.

Bellamy rushed over to her as well and kneeled down by her side. He looked down at her in concern and then looked up at Clarke. Aleta groaned in pain, "I think I'm dying," she muttered. "You're not dying," Clarke said, helping her sit up. Clarke placed a piece of a ripped shirt against the wound on her head and held it there. "Here. Can you hold this?" The blonde asked and Aleta gave her a thumbs up, pressing her hand against the cloth.

Bellamy moved a piece of her hair from her face and Aleta moved her head away from his hand. "Don't touch me," she snapped weakly. Bellamy nodded and pulled his hand away from her. "We need to find the radio," Aleta announced. Bellamy immediately protested, "No, we need to get you back to camp before you bleed to death." Aleta rolled her eyes, "Stop being dramatic. And if we don't find that radio, innocent people are gonna die and I refuse to let that happen," she said.

"I'm being dramatic? Less than a minute ago you were saying that you thought you were dying!" Bellamy exclaimed. Aleta rolled her eyes again and ignored him.

She began to stand and Bellamy went to help her but she swatted his hands away. "Show us where you took the radio," she commanded, turning to Bellamy. He looked at her with a hard gaze before nodding.

There was a search party going on to look for the radio and Clarke refused to let Aleta help. She was worried that the brunette had a concussion and demanded that she rested. So, Aleta sat on a log, still pressing the makeshift cloth to her head. By now the fabric was soaked in the black blood but the bleeding had slowed considerably. It had almost stopped and she felt less lightheaded. She kept pulling the cloth away to examine it, hoping that she had just been seeing things and that her blood wasn't actually that unnatural color. But every time she looked at the fabric, the color remained the same. Black.

From his position, Bellamy watched her sadly and sighed. Seeing her again was something he never thought would happen. Now that she was here, all the pain and regret crashed into him like a wave. Not only that, but he couldn't get the sight of her blood out of his head. He wasn't sure what it meant or if it was bad. It seemed bad, blood wasn't supposed to be that color. He wondered why she never mentioned it to him before.

"Aleta Correia. I never thought I'd see your pretty face again," a voice that she recognized said. She turned her head and then stood up. "Eli!" She exclaimed, throwing her arms around his shoulders. "It's so good to see your stupid face," she mumbled and he laughed. "It's good to see yours too," he replied. Aleta pulled away and sat back on the log, Elijah sitting next to her.

"How are Sarai and Freya?" He questioned. Aleta shrugged, "As annoying as they've always been. But they miss you. Hell, I missed you. I never thought those words would come out of my mouth." Elijah lightly pushed her shoulder. "Shut up you ogre," he said with a laugh.

Aleta pulled the fabric off of her head looked around at the campers, searching for someone specific. Elijah's eyes flitted down to the ripped up shirt that she had been holding to her head and his eyebrows furrowed. What was that black shit? Before he could open his mouth, Aleta was already speaking. "Hey, where's Wells? I haven't seen him," she asked curiously, placing the cloth back to her head. Elijah's face saddened and she already knew the answer before he said it. "He, didn't make it," Elijah answered quietly.

"What happened?" She asked next. He sighed and looked out at the river in front of them, his eyes darkening slightly. "This girl named Charlotte, she killed him. But she's gone now too," he responded. Aleta was about to reply but a voice cut her off.

"Hey! I found it!" A boy yelled. Aleta stood from her log and removed the cloth from her head again. She made her way over to the small group huddled around Raven, who held the radio in her hands. "Can you fix it?" Clarke asked hopefully. Raven shook her head slightly, "Maybe. But it'll take half a day just to dry out the components to see what's broken."

"Like I said, it's too late," Bellamy said. Aleta glared hard at him and he ignored her gaze. "Do you have any idea what you did? Do you even care?" Clarke asked as she stormed up to Bellamy. "You asked me to help. I helped," Bellamy said and Aleta scoffed. "Three hundred people are gonna die today because of you!" Clarke exclaimed.

"Hold up. We don't have to talk to the Ark. We just have to let them know we're down here, right?" Raven said. "Yeah, but how do we do that with no radio?" Finn asked. Raven smiled, "I might have an idea." Raven then began to lead the way back to the pod, the campers following behind her. "Bellamy," Aleta called.

Bellamy slowed his stride to a stop and turned to face her in surprise while raising his eyebrows in question. "If Freya or Sarai or anyone that I care about dies today, I'll never forgive you," she spat venomously, a cold glare set on her face. Bellamy's breathing hitched for a moment and Aleta brushed past him, following after Clarke and the others. The boy watched her go and that feeling of regret came back. After a moment, he continued walking back toward the pod.

When they got there, everyone began stripping the parts off of the pod and some people began carrying parts back to camp. By nightfall, everyone was bustling around the camp carrying parts around as quickly as possible. Aleta was moving as fast as she could taking different parts to Raven. She tried to help the girl as much as possible but with her limited knowledge in engineering, this proved to be difficult. Not to mention the slight pounding sensation in her head and the dull ache that followed it, which slowed her down significantly. She wondered why Raven wasn't having as much trouble as she was. After all, they did sport similar injuries to the head. Raven's most likely wasn't as severe as Aleta's.

After what felt like forever but was actually around two hours, they were finally done setting up the flares. Raven pressed a button and they were released. Bursts of purple illuminated the night sky and Aleta had to admit that it looked beautiful. She just hoped that the people on the Ark could see it and that they weren't too late.

Aleta stood beside Clarke and Bellamy walked up next to the blonde. The three watched the flares in silence until Bellamy broke it. "You think they can see it from up there?" He asked. "I don't know. I hope so," Clarke replied. They remained quiet until Clarke spoke up again. "Can you wish on this kind of shooting star?" She asked and Aleta shrugged in response.

Bellamy gave Clarke a weird look and she shook her head. "Forget it," she muttered. Bellamy was silent for a moment before speaking again. "I wouldn't even know what to wish for," he answered. Clarke turned her head to look at him as Aleta slowly moved away from the two. Her head was pounding again and she desperately wanted to lay down.

"Are you sure about that?" Clarke asked him. Bellamy's eyes wandered over to Aleta. He stared longingly at her and Clarke smirked slightly. "That's what I thought," she mumbled. He noticed Clarke's eyes on him and he looked away from Aleta, clearing his throat. "What about you?" He asked her.

Aleta walked into the dropship and looked for a comfortable spot on the floor. She took off her jacket and folded it up into a makeshift pillow. She sat down, placed her jacket on the floor, and laid her head on it. She curled into a fetal position and let the exhaustion take over her. A little while later, Bellamy walked into the dropship and found her on the floor.

He looked down at her and smiled at how peaceful she looked. He walked closer to her, took off his jacket, crouched down, and placed the jacket on top of her. Bellamy moved a strand of hair from her face and she shifted a little but didn't wake. He sighed and admired her for a moment longer, examining the gash on her head that had long since stopped bleeding. There were specks of dried black blood around the wound that Aleta had given up on trying to scrub away. He couldn't pull his eyes away from it. It was so weird. He had never seen anything like that before. Bellamy sighed before standing up and exiting the dropship.

And thus, a new plot was born. So, I had this idea for a while after originally publishing this book and I didn't want to write another fanfic for The 100 just to write this idea so I just decided to rewrite this one with the idea that I had in mind. Now, you probably have a lot of questions but never fear, you will get answers. Anyway, that's the end of this chapter. I hope you guys enjoyed this. Please comment and vote. Have a good day.
