PLOT

Elijah Thropp was as mysterious as they came. No one ever associated with the boy and avoided him wherever he went. He was never reprimanded for skipping school or stealing from food stalls. Elijah could get away with practically anything he wanted on the Isle. And there was only one reason for that. Everyone feared his mother. The Wicked Witch of the West was one of the most terrifying villains on the Isle, only second to Maleficent. Which meant that Elijah could go where he wanted and do as he pleased. That was how it had always been.

But deep down, Elijah craved more.

Destiny Gale was as good as they came. She followed all the rules laid out for her and did everything she could to be at the top of her class. She took pride in her studies and extracurriculars, which mainly involved working alongside Fairy Godmother. Destiny was on the path to success, and it helped that her mother was one of the most respected women in Auradon. Dorothy Gale was always suggesting ways to help better their country, especially those who weren't considered royalty. Destiny wanted to grow up to be just like her mother.

But deep down, Destiny felt something was missing.

The day soon came for the future King of Auradon to make his first proclamation. But no one expected him to announce he was bringing five kids over from the Isle. Unlike the rest of Auradon, Destiny supported Ben's decision. She thought that everyone deserved a chance at happiness. But that was until he heard who he was bringing over. The Gale girl had no problem with the children of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella De Vil. But she wanted nothing to do with the son of the Wicked Witch of the West. And Elijah felt the same way.

Little did they know they were each other's missing pieces.

NOTES

▻ Elijah and Destiny will be enemies to lovers. Their relationship will also be extremely slowburn. Descendants 1 should be enemies to friends. Descendants 2 should be friends to lovers. And then Descendants 3 will have them explore their relationship. It's up to you if you'd like to include Rise of Red.

▻ Elijah doesn't have any friends on the Isle since everyone is afraid of him. Even Evie, Jay, and Carlos are a bit hesitant around him. Mal sees him as some sort of competition. This changes throughout the first movie when they realize his mother is using him just as much as their parents are.

▻ The Wicked Witch of the West is very cruel to her son. She makes snide comments about him all the time. Elijah pretends to ignore them but they secretly get in his head. It makes him second-guess himself all the time.

▻ Destiny is seen as the "golden child" of Auradon Prep. Everyone thinks she can do no wrong and is always the perfect example. The pressure gets to Destiny but she never shows it. Elijah is the first person to figure out how she feels.

▻ Destiny has a lot of fake friends, such as Audrey. They include her in their friend group to make themselves look better. Her only real friends are Gideon, Ben, and Jane. She doesn't get close to Lonnie and Doug until later on.

▻ Dorothy and Destiny are very close, but her mother often puts a lot of pressure on her without knowing. Dorothy just wants what's best for her daughter and doesn't realize how Destiny truly feels.

▻ Gideon is the son of Glinda Upland, the Good Witch of the South. He's been friends with Destiny since they were born. He's like an older brother figure even though they're the same age. You can decide who his love interest is.
